"For the program to be there - I'm talking immediately - I signed up and that next week somebody was out to see us. When their team came out, it was just like, where have you guys been? And how come this was just now offered?"

Benefits of Post-Adoption Family Support

Our behavioral support services help families address a wide range of challenging behaviors, including:

Strengthen Family Bonds

Building strong attachments is essential for adoptive families. Our specialists provide guidance on connecting with your child in meaningful ways, helping you understand their needs and respond effectively even during challenging moments.

Create a Stable Home Environment

Our support services help you establish the consistency, structure, and nurturing atmosphere that adopted children need to feel secure. We work with your entire family to develop routines and strategies that promote stability and reduce stress.

Navigate Special Circumstances

We provide specialized support for families facing unique situations, including transracial adoption, older child adoption, siblings, and children with trauma histories or special needs.

Develop Effective Parenting Strategies

Our team helps you develop and practice parenting approaches specifically designed for adopted children. These trauma-informed strategies address the root causes of challenging behaviors while supporting your child's healing and growth.

Build a Support Network

Connect with other adoptive families facing similar challenges. We help you build relationships with others who understand your journey, reducing isolation and providing additional sources of support and understanding.

Our Four-Stage Family Support Process

Our approach to post-adoption family support follows a structured process designed to meet your family where you are and build toward lasting positive change.

Stage 1: Crisis Stabilization & Assessment

We begin by getting to know your family's unique dynamics, strengths, and challenges. This foundational understanding allows us to develop a support plan tailored to your specific situation and needs.

Stage 2: Personalized Support Implementation

Based on your family's assessment, we implement a combination of in-home support, parent coaching, and resource connection. Our team works directly with you in your home environment, providing practical strategies and hands-on guidance.

Stage 3: Skill Development & Practice

Throughout the support process, we help you develop and practice new parenting strategies and communication techniques. These skills are practiced in real-life situations with the guidance and feedback of our experienced support specialists.

Stage 4: Progress Monitoring & Adjustment

We continuously assess your family's progress and adjust support strategies as needed. This flexible approach ensures that the support you receive remains relevant and effective as your family grows and changes.

"I see the difference in both the kiddos and myself because they're always, oh, is so-and-so coming today? Oh, is so-and-so coming today?"
